Helping Verona, Sun Prairie

Attic Angel Management Services – a corporation under the umbrella of Attic Angel Community -- expands the organization’s historic commitment to senior living into the Greater Madison communities of Verona and Sun Prairie.

Oakmont Senior Community in Verona (www.oakmontseniorcommunity.com) is a new development of 99 luxury apartments for seniors 55 and better who seek an independent and active lifestyle. The project is a collaboration with Forward Development Group, in which Attic Angel Management Services will provide onsite management and lifestyle services. Oakmont is situated in a residential neighborhood within walking distance to the public library, Post Office and other amenities.

Olympic Village at Sun Prairie (www.olympicvillageSP.com) was built more than 20 years ago by Independent Living Inc., which managed the duplex-style property until recently. A newly created not-for-profit corporation, Olympic Village Inc., has taken ownership of the life lease community of 69 condominiums located at 1000 Hunters Trail (just off Hwy. 151 and O’Keeffe Avenue). Olympic Village Inc. now partners with Attic Angel Management Services to oversee all aspects of its operations. This beautiful neighborhood for 55+ independent living is just a few walkable blocks from Walmart and within easy driving access to both Madison and Sun Prairie destinations.

Residents of these facilities enjoy priority access to Attic Angel’s levels of health care as needed.

Attic Angel’s expertise and success come from a long and pioneering history of serving seniors since its first nursing home opened in 1953. The new management services corporation provides consulting and management services to other senior living and long-term care providers in and around Madison. The relationship will result in greater efficiencies and quality of services to other organizations while sharing the expenses of overhead costs, according to President/CEO Mary Ann Drescher.

The first facility to sign on was Faith Living Center, a 20-unit Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) in Sun Prairie. Attic Angel provides oversight for regulatory compliance while assisting with shared services such as finance, marketing and human resources.

The Playing Field

The Playing Field Poster

Children affected by trauma such as homelessness and those with special needs such as autism spectrum disorders have different sensory needs for emotional support that helps them learn to manage behaviors. Our dream is to create a play space that allows children to be successful while ... being kids! Some of our plans:

  • A large open space for running (crowded spaces are often a behavior trigger for children)
  • High fencing and an appropriate climbing structure (children impacted by trauma or those on the autism spectrum often take bigger risks and climb higher)
  • Sensory panels that welcome independent play when children are agitated
  • A maze for children to walk through (this helps the brain to organize)
  • Small structures where children can feel safe
  • Specially designed pieces to work large muscle groups

By helping children at this critical point in their development, your gift will be helping the future of our community!
