The Haven is a secured and peaceful home-like residence for adults with a primary diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or a related form of irreversible dementia.
Attic Angel proudly meets the quality standards for dementia-specific care set forth by Leading Age Wisconsin, a professional community of nonprofit aging services providers and other mission-driven organizations serving older adults.
Life in The Haven
Constructed in a circular path, The Haven allows for easy wandering without getting lost. Large activity spaces and living rooms extend the parameters of the individual residences. Both inside The Haven as well as it’s outdoor courtyard and garden are secured for resident safety and their loved ones’ peace of mind. Dedicated care staff are available ‘round the clock.
The Haven has its own Life Enrichment coordinator who caters to individual needs and interests, with a heavy emphasis on musical memories. A full schedule of ways to engage strives for the highest quality of life possible, which nurtures the well-being and happiness of residents and their loved ones alike.
All three daily meals are chef-prepared and served in a neighborhood-style dining room; for a change of scenery, families and friends often enjoy taking residents to other dining areas and attend Attic Angel activities and programs together.

Historically, Attic Angel Community – the House That Angels Built – represents a cornerstone for retirement living, health and well-being in Greater Madison and Dane County. Attic Angel’s reputation for quality of life stems from deep, local roots and a rich heritage of caring for community, within our walls and beyond.
In fact, the members of Attic Angel Association make up the sisterhood of community-minded women who built and continue to direct the future of our not-for-profit Attic Angel Community; they have likewise made a mark in service to Dane County’s children, families and older adults since 1889.

The Angels, as we call them, provide a unique vitality and added service to the flow of life here. You won’t find a network of member volunteers like them at any other community. Together with our residents, we take pride in being the one and only Attic Angel: just one location and like no other!
