Become an Angel

Membership in Attic Angel Association is a lifestyle choice that’s marked by heartfelt service to community. Since 1889, our 501(c)3 organization of volunteers and fundraisers has provided the framework to improve quality of life for children and seniors in Dane County.

Jobs range from leadership and committee work to hands-on service and event management. More than 400 member Angels provide approximately 35,000 hours of service and give grants totaling in the six digits annually. They make a tangible difference in our community, and we invite you to join!

Angels in Action

Our member Angels strategically invest their time in building a better today and a more promising tomorrow. Here’s an overview of their important work:

Support and Friendship with Seniors

Residents living in Attic Angel Place benefit from the good hearts of our Angels, who provide an array of supportive services and companionship with a focus on quality of life.

Service to the Greater Community

Our member Angels are visible contributors to the health, stability and well-being of Madison and Dane County. Among their continuing efforts are a robust program of community grants, four signature fundraising events, a school partnership and a continuing education lecture series for seniors.

Attic Angel Governance

The Attic Angel umbrella covers four corporations in service to seniors and greater community. Our member Angels, who provide the governance for each, have leadership opportunities to serve as board members and participate on committees that cover a wide range of mission-oriented programs and initiatives.

Our History-Shaping Achievements

For most of Madison’s history, Attic Angel Association has played a role in the well-being of children, families and seniors. In just one example, the Angels were instrumental in raising money to build the city’s first hospital in 1903. Their fingerprints on many such landmarks and programs are all but erased because their exceptional ideas and entrepreneurial works are then handed off to others, who take the projects and further develop them.
