Residents are supported in their desire to preserve independence and manage medications for as long as they are able. For those who require assistance to maintain safety and meet their treatment goals, we have a specially trained medication administration team whose primary responsibility is to provide residents with the right medication at the right time. They give undivided attention to the details of each resident’s medication regimen.
Attic Angel partners with Mallatt's Pharmacy and Oakwood Village Pharmacy, located just minutes away. Specializing in long-term care, the pharmacists visit Attic Angel regularly to review residents’ medications and to give each resident the best chance at improving or maintaining health.
Our wound care team, consisting of RNs and a registered dietitian, collaborate with the resident’s pharmacist and primary care physician to prevent wounds and other skin complications. If a wound or pressure area is present, the interdisciplinary team takes a global approach to treat the ulcer, control pain, provide proper nutrition, secure appropriate equipment and accommodate social needs.
